From the tour
This is a rare Victorian-style home currently for sale in Los Angeles. LA is known for having a lot of great architecture and it's very easy to find a great Spanish, craftsman, or mid-century home, but we don't have a lot of Victorian-style homes and I wish we did because they are awesome. This one was built in 1900 and is located in the Angelino Heights neighborhood of Echo Park. Angelino Heights is probably my favorite neighborhood in Echo Park as it's home to the highest concentration of Victorian-style residences in LA. The home features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two thousand forty-nine square feet and is currently listed for $1,799,000. What's really cool about this home is that it's set up like a duplex, but if you don't want it to function like a duplex you could easily just open up a wall and it could be a true single-family home. The main unit is four-bed two-bath and then there's a one-bed one-bath right next to it. We saw the two-story main unit and now we're going to check out the second unit, but all throughout you'll notice the original Victorian-style details. Twelve-foot ceilings, crown molding, tall windows, and the original doors are all details that have been preserved. I like how they maintain the home's original character, but we're still able to modernize it with vintage inspired lighting and bathroom and kitchen designs that fit the vibe of the home. Both units have an open floor plan with big rooms. The main unit has direct access to the backyard which has drought-resistant vegetation throughout. It's got a versatile floor plan, it's centrally located, and it's been thoughtfully restored while still offering tons of character. If you're a buyer interested in this one or looking for something like this, reach out. My team and I will walk you through the process from A to Z and help you find the one.
